Summary
This reader is built like a tank because its rugged design is simply great. The product is well made and looks like it can withstand some abuse, as it is made out of metal and not plastic. It transfers photos and videos into your iPhone without any problem, and really fast. Plus given the SD reader, it gives you that extra flexibility. On top of that, it looks really smart, which helps.

Design
The RAVPower iPhone SD Card Reader fits many iPhone cases (except those super-tight cases) which is a plus compared to its competitors. You can easily insert the flash drive into your phone without needing to remove the case first. The flash drive also swivels into a protective casing when not in use, which is a nice addition.
In terms of connectivity, there is also a USB 3.0 connector on the other end of the flash drive. This allows you to connect the drive directly to your computer to transfer photos, videos and music and enjoy fast download rates.
Features
The app you use with this drive is very simple to just and with just a “one-tap backup” feature it will automatically transfer your new photos and videos to the flash drive. In addition, you can protect your content with a password so other users can not take a peek at the files on your flash drive. The app will also allow you to playback compatible files stored on the drive which is really nice for previewing. Especially for travelling, when could load a movie on the flash drive and then watch it on your phone without the need to be streaming off the internet. Please note that the files must be DRM-free and in a format that your iPhone can play (like MP4, for example).
