The same applies to cars. A contactless key allows you to open the car from the distance, lock it and set the alarm. Thieves apply the same principle. They highjack the signal and are able to have access to the car, without your realises. They can disable the alarm or block you from setting it up. Contactless fraud is real and you want to make sure you avoid it at all costs.
