It has a very solid feel since it is made from an aluminium alloy. I have seen smaller car chargers but they aren’t made as well or are impossible to remove. It fits snugly into the charging port without feeling like it will fall out or you won’t be able to remove it. I was able to charge my iPad 3 and iPhone 6 with the charger. The iPad pulled a little over 5v and 2.28A (see pics). This is a solid compact charger.
