Design

Upon designing the VAVA VA-LT002 projector, the company wants the device to have a lower price with a stylish design and packed with a great set of features. After several tries, we found out that placing the projector 5.5 inches away from the screen and 8 inches below it is the perfect setting. Yet, if this doesn’t work out on your part, you can always change the distance or adjust the two feet under the device for precise measurements. Once you are done, the menu offers controls to focus the images for every type of geometric distortion. It takes a lot of tweaks to get the right position but don’t worry because there are instructions on-screen to help you get through it.

The projector’s menu system offers several picture modes and two lamp power settings to regulate the brightness and contrast. But regardless of the HDR10 support, the color contrast is limited to Rec. 709 so watching in UHD versus Blu-ray has no major difference. Performance

However, the VAVA VA-LT002 projector still struggles in showing shadow details in a room with ambient light, which is not surprising at all knowing that most projectors have the same problem. But when it comes to producing HD images, all hands down to VAVA, the picture looks rich and sharp even on a larger scale. Also, upscaling SDR to HDR displays smooth transition and motion with accurate colors and brightness. Even if there’s a limitation for the color gamut, with only 8-bit color depth, the colors are still nice and noticeable. We advise setting the brightness into High rather than Standard to get the maximum impact of the color, though expect a slight fan noise.
