For its price range, this projector is simply awesome. The picture is clear and sharp. It is not a true native HD or 4K projector (they costs exponentially higher), but it is and works exactly as advertised. The image looks great in a dark room but also outdoors, although it benefits if you keep the are dark-ish. It works well with gaming systems on HDMI (PS3 and PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One) and legacy devices using the AV cable (provided), and more. It also has a USB port for using a thumb/ pen drive to view images and video. It plays MANY different formats and the playback is smooth. All in all, a great projector at a price range that makes it affordable to most people. As an entry level projector, it is ideal. You can then decide whether you really want native HD/ 4K or keep this. Overall, you won’t be disappointed!

DR.J Mini Projector doesn’t use the newer TFT LCD technology found in many other projectors on this list, it makes up for it in the quality and design of the projector lens. The high-quality lens produces a crisp image, which when combined with the solid brightness rating and high contrast ratio makes for vibrant and theatre-like image quality even in moderately lit rooms.
Another nice and unique feature of this projector is that the lens is designed to take advantage of diffuse reflection technology – a special lens design that reduces how much light bounces directly back from the screen into your eye and in turn reduces eye fatigue. One thing to remember is that in this price range, the focus adjustment is somewhat limited so you will have to keep the projector within its recommended range. This is not in itself a deal-breaker but something important to bear in mind.
Moving on, the cooling system is well-designed for a projector of this size and brightness. The unit includes two fans, which are quiet enough to not impede the audio experience and prevents the unit from overheating after hours of use. Plus, the 40,000-hour lamp life is attractive, since most users will never have to replace the lamp.
While the projector claims a three-year warranty, beware that several customers did have problems with the projector they were sent. In some cases, customers complained that the projector was far less than the advertised 1,800 lumens and produced a dim image even in dark rooms. DR.J has improved our brightness from 10% to 15% compared to the brightness in previous models. DR.J also enhanced the projection colour contrast to 2000:1 to restore the true colour of the projection display to present a vivid video and images that don’t cause eye fatigue.
The projector supports several I/O options such as AV in/out, TF Cards, USB, HDMI Port, VGA Port (all included) and it is compatible with USB Flash Drive, PS4, XBOX, Blue Ray DVD Player, Laptop, computer, etc. Additionally. the DR.J video projector can also be compatible with Fire TV Stick & Roku Stick via its HDMI connection.
The DR.J LCD projector can be projected to 32″-170″ at a distance of 1M-5M. In order to get the ideal projection display, we recommend you use it at the display distance of 120″. It’s definitely the ideal choice for indoor and outdoor home theatre entertainment.
