In its price range, we’d recommend the RAVPower 16750mAh anytime, anywhere. It features 2 ultra fast USB ports, an incredible charging capacity and very few manufacturing issues. If you don’t mind a bit of extra bulk and you don’t mind waiting a while for the power bank to charge itself (unless you have a 2A wall charger) then this is the power bank for you.

The RAVPower 16750mAh Portable Charger features 2 incredibly fast USB ports, impressively efficient lithium-ion batteries and a sleek design. So far so good. One should ask, are these benefits at the sacrifice of size? Maybe, but either way, we are happy to rate this unit among some of the best power banks.
The RAVPower 16750mAh Portable Charger boasts a 16750mAh capacity. It is quite a decent amount for a power bank. We found a higher than average charging capacity for the RAVPower 16750mAh during testing and were impressed by it.
The 2 USB ports provided give a max output of 4.5A. Running simultaneously, this will probably be closer to 3-3.5A. However, the real benefit here is that both USB outputs are lightning-fast. All too often we see dual USB power banks favouring one port over the other. One is rated at 1A and the other 2.1A which slows down the overall charging speed of the unit. Not with this baby.
The unit features iSmart technology which very cleverly identifies your device for maximum charge efficiency. You can expect about 500 charge cycles overall which is quite high.
The downside, however, is that even though the RAVPower 16750mAh itself can handle 2A when charging up when using a standard charger to recharge it, you will experience extremely long charge times. This is the same with all high capacity power banks. You should invest in a 2A or 2.4A charger adapter to speed this process up but in most cases, it may take up to a day to charge it completely from flat with the standard 1A charger that you get with your smartphone.
We really like the look of the RAVPower 16750mAh Power bank unit. The bevelled edges and LED strip to make it smart, professional and modern looking. The way it is designed is quite clever, with all the useful bits on the far edge of the unit. This includes a handy flashlight for any emergency, very handy.
The finish of the unit is really nice. It has a nice sheen to it and is fingerprint and light-scratch protected. The shape is economical and the LED strip that indicates charge level is distinctive and futuristic looking.
The RAVPower 16750mAh comes with 2 USB to MicroUSB cables (of different lengths), a stylish carry bag and user guide.
The unit is a well-made, well-constructed and sturdy unit. It comes standard with short-circuit and over-current protection which is very helpful. This should be standard with all power banks however the efficacy varies among brands.
RAVPower generally uses very high-quality components in their portable chargers and it looks as if this power bank is no exception. One issue that we noticed was some cases of the USB ports failing, one by one. Some people also reporting on charging compatibility issues with their devices. This shouldn’t happen and RAVPower is pretty quick to squash these issues with a refund or exchange. Top-notch there to customer service.
The RAVPower 16750mAh Portable Charger is a little big, yes. It’s no pocket watch although it’s not as heavy as it looks. Other higher capacity power bank units are bulkier and heavier so this one sits comfortably in the middle.
The unit comes with a travel pouch, helpful for keeping the unit safe and away from dust and dirt.
Overall, it is a very good and efficient unit. You won’t be disappointed. It is not as high capacity as other units but in return, it is smaller and less bulky. Still, with a 16750mAh capacity, you won’t run out of juice any time soon. For most people, this is more than they will ever need in a day, or two, three or even a week. We just recommend that you get a 2A or 2.4A charger unit to ensure this unit gets recharged overnight. Otherwise, you might just have to wait 16-18 hours with a standard 1A charger.
