The Lansinoh Smartpump Breast Pump is a rather impressive double electric pump at a price that anyone can afford. This is one of the very few pumps in the market that has three pumping styles and eight adjustable suction levels. More importantly, it is a closed-system pump, designed for daily long-term use. It is compact and lightweight, making it ideal for using at home or taking it with you on any trip. The pump itself is basically identical to the SignaturePro, with the addition of the Bluetooth capabilities.

This versatility provides mum with tremendous flexibility. It is proven that women are more likely to stick with breastfeeding if they can find a setting that they feel comfortable with rather than making them feel like it is some kind of pain tolerance test. We can confirm that the Lansinoh does the job really well although there is no escape from the noise of the pumps working. On the plus side, the rubber at the ends on the breast cups is soft on the breast which makes it more comfortable than expected.
An LCD screen that tracks time
The Lansinoh Smartpump Breast Pump has an LCD screen, especially those that track the time of pumping sessions, are a great and welcome addition to breast pumping. It’s far too easy to sit in a quiet room to do your breast pumping, get all strapped up and only then realize you don’t have a clock, watch or phone in that room that will let you know how long you’ve been there for. Having a timer on the screen helps ease that burden on moms.
Connecting to the app
This Double Electric Breast Pump connects to the Lansinoh Baby App via Bluetooth to track & simplify breast pump & breastfeeding sessions, baby’s activities, & offer moms tips & resources. The app itself is nicely set up and helpful for keeping track of all sorts of things. The bonus is that it automatically logs your pumping time. There is just so much going on in our lives these days that we struggle to remember everything I need to remember. I love how this app helps!!
Carry bag included
Moms can never have too many tote bags. We use them all and sometimes we’ll use them simultaneously, depending on how much stuff we have to lug around. It is nice to have a dedicated bag where you can keep this and it doesn’t get mixed up with other things. A simple and inexpensive touch but very appreciated.
Hygienic design
Moms already have enough cleaning to do without taking our breast pumps apart and cleaning tubing. With the Lansinoh Smartpump Breast Pump, we won’t have to do any extra cleaning because it guarantees that no milk will reach the tubes.
Easy to use
This pump appears to be designed for comfort and efficiency. The pump can be plugged in or can use batteries so, in practical terms, it can basically be used anywhere. Because it only has a few parts to assemble, it is easy to clean and also very easy to put together. When a hormonal pregnant woman tries to figure out assembly instructions that leave her confused, it can trigger an epic meltdown. Rest assured you will not experience that with this pump.
Is it right for you?
The Lansinoh Electric Breast Pump is a good pump for an affordable price. The fact that the pump won’t leak milk into the motor or tubes is a big selling point for time-strapped moms and after having tested we our recent newborn, we can definitely recommend it. It is safe to use and you definitely get what you pay for, which is appreciated.
