( vote)The FLOUREON 10,000mAh Solar Charger is one of the most rugged solar power banks on the market due to its great build quality and rubber sides. It does feel it can take some serious beating. Ideal for when you are out camping, trekking or similar activity.
The unit is lightweight despite its 10000mAh high capacity. It is equipped with a compact built-in solar panel, which will recharge the battery under sunlight. Oddly enough, the unit does not have a power button. It provides power as long as there is sun and once the sun has gone down, the unit gradually and slowly depletes its stored power. We recommend that the first charge to full done at home from a wall power source. It will take around 4-5 hours but it is highly advisable in order to take full advantage of its capabilities. Then you just simply top up as the day goes by, simply by placing the solar panels facing the sun.
There are two USB ports hiding behind a rubber cover at one of the ends. One port is 2.1A ideal for iPad/Tablets and another port is 1.0A, for a smartphone or other devices. This protection will keep sand and other tiny particles from damaging the ports. This power bank can charge two devices simultaneously which is now standard with all new power banks.
The FLOUREON 10,000mAh Solar Charger’s inbuilt LED flashlight works perfectly in darkness, especially for an emergency. Simply press the button twice, the LED will light up for flashlight mode. An easy way to find your way home when getting lost in the wild or in a dark area.
Its Compact size doesn’t mean it is small at all at 5.4”(L)X3.0”(W)X0.75”(H) with a weight of 0.29Kg. The FLOUREON 10,000mAh has a hook at the back with is quite helpful for attaching it to a backpack or similar. This helps to recharge the unit while you walk so you always have power when needed most.
