Babysense 7 – Under-The-Mattress Baby Movement Monitor
Babysense 7 Infant Breathing Monitor was developed because caretakers cannot easily provide the 24-hour surveillance of an infant that is necessary, in view of the dangers that may face infants in hospitals and at home during their early stages of development. The use of the Babysense 7 Infant Breathing Monitor provides parents with a sense of comfort and allows them to sleep and rest better knowing that their baby’s movements are constantly being monitored. Babysense’s highly effective monitoring system has helped to protect millions of babies around the world.
We’ve all done it. One minute you’re admiring how peaceful and quiet they are, the next you’re anxious because you are unsure what is going on. That nervous new-mum doubt you feel quickly turns into a lot of sleepless nights, as you worry about your baby’s peaceful sleep so much it stops you from getting your own. But the Oricom Babysense7 Infant Breathing Monitor will give you the reassurance that you need so you can carry on with life with peace of mind.
Monitoring the breathing
The Babysense7 lets you rest easy by keeping an eye on your baby’s breathing for you. No more sleepless nights while you lie there wondering if they’re ok. The clever sleep monitoring system features a control unit placed outside of your baby’s cot that connects to two special sensors that you place under your baby’s mattress. The unit works as a whole to constantly monitor the breathing movements of your sleeping baby.
Staying alert, not alarmed
With just the press of a button, you’ll have peace of mind knowing that the Babysense 7 will alert you if anything’s wrong. An audible and visual alarm activates if your baby’s breathing movement drops below 10 breaths per minute, or if it can’t detect it for more than 20 seconds. This simple yet effective warning system allows you, the parents, to relax and sleep knowing that if your baby needs you, you will be alerted immediately.
The option to use only 1 pad if your baby isn’t crawling yet, or 2 if they are on the move for more reassurance and knowing that it continuously monitors the breathing movement rate gave me peace of mind. I was surprised at how super easy it was to set up. The control unit connects to sensor pads under your baby’s mattress, out of the way of the baby so no safety risk.
We were lucky that the movement monitor never went off while we were using it. However, I wanted to test it, so after I went in to get my son up, I purposely left it on and it went off and boy was it loud. Understanding the alarm needs to be loud for the parent/caretaker to hear, it was very loud and would scare your baby which I guess is the point.
A good night sleep, really?
The two sensor pads cover the entire cot area, which is great for babies who like to explore their surroundings around the cot at night. And because they are placed under the mattress, they have no direct contact with your baby and won’t limit, obstruct or disturb their movement. Your little prince or princess won’t even know it’s there.
The unit is battery-powered which helps to avoid any power surges or blackouts. Simply recharge the batteries when the indicator light tells you it’s time and you will never have to worry about going off. Good quality batteries should give you about six months of use or you can buy rechargeable one for peace of mind. Use the Babysense 7 Infant Breathing Monitor in conjunction with any other range of audio or video baby monitors and have a virtual team of eyes and ears helping you watch over your little bundle of joy.
Suitable for healthy infants from birth to one year of age, the Babysense7 has been helping parents around the world get the shut-eye they need for over two decades.
We would recommend the Babysense 7 monitor to other mums and dads. It is simple and easy to use and it is exactly what you need to give you that peace of mind that your child is safe while sleeping. We like the fact that it is used as a medical device in other countries, not the US which means that other countries trust it that much. The sensors are very sensitive which is fantastic in order to give you the reassurance and peace of mind that you are after.
